Cambridge Houses

Just terraces.
No gardens,

the streets their garages.

People you notice – yes,
cars – yes,
churches – yes,
rivers – yes,
bicycles – yes, yes,
colleges yes, yes ,yes!

But houses?
Long walls with windows
looking at each other
over trails of aching feet.
