You
are looking for something different,
discarding those who use old patterns
because if it is the same
it is not worth doing.
Art like knowledge must leap forward
inventors not craftsmen will be among the famous.
Today cannot
be the same, you wouldn’t allow it
because change is the oxygen that gives
you life.
Fine concrete towers are made from shapeless sand
the indistinguishable grain
scratching at the mind,
you need our
fire
to melt it into glass
make you a pane through which to see
old artefacts
in new styles of light.
