George

The precision and touch of parts
encompassed by the eye,
calliper fingers measuring width,
the calculating brain
trimming and turning like a lathe
pieces of imprecision spiralling
to a milk-washed bed.
Blueprint undrawn on the skull’s perimeter
spills blue light across his smile,
design pleasures his face
stands in his pose
with three dimensional power.

The moment is in the making;
concept to design to fabrication,
the satisfaction of achievement.
There is no bullshit here,
this is for real.
