Tulip
The over engineered tulip
thrusts stiff and proud
into the hopefulness of spring,
towers powerful and pristine
over fragile primula and daffodil:
but in the end, hope outgrown
shamelessly spreads his petals wide,
bares all for the love
of the busy bumble bee.
